Learning Illustrator

Image
This week, I learned more about the Illustrator program. I created this drawing of Snoopy. After Professor Santi's critique during class, I realized I used too many points. I should use just a few and then adjust the curves. This makes much more sense because I had trouble getting the curves perfect and they seemed a little bumpy.

Finished Canvas Design

Image
After many hours of work, I have completed my F35 jet canvas design. I am very happy with how it turned out. I decided to take it a step further and animate the tail rudders. These are what make the plane turn left or right in flight. They get tested during the preflight check, so that is what I animated here.

Final Canvas Project

Image
I have been working hard on my final canvas design. I wanted to choose something I knew would be a challenge. When I found my inspiration photo, I loved the gradients and curves. So far, I have done the sunset gradient, mountains, land, and then started drawing the outline of the wings and body.

Arcs and Circles

Image
This week, I played around with arcs and circles. I recreated this emoji face. I'm still working on the eyes as they do not quite match.

Curves in Dreamweaver

Image
This week, I learned how to draw curves in Dreamweaver using HTML 5. I adapted my previous original artwork to include quadratic curves. I think it turned out pretty cool and it still moves with your mouse. With the bezier curves, I was able to create some cool architecturally looking diagrams. I feel now that I know the program much better than when I started. Before, I simply was following along with Professor Echeverry's instruction. But now I have confidence to create and manipulate works of art on my own.

Learning how to use Dreamweaver

Image
This past week, I have been learning how to use the program Dreamweaver and coding in HTML 5. I did not know the complexity of the shapes that could be created. I love understanding the logic behind these artistic creations. Since I am a logical thinker and like to play around with things until they make sense, this is a lot of fun. Attached are a screenshot and video of my own design. It is an interactive shape with gradients of red yellow green and blue that overlap and make it look three dimensional.
