Logo Design

I have been working on my logo design project, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I started by thinking of 5 words that describe me. One of them was uplifting. I liked the idea, but wanted a more elegant word and something aviation related. I then came up with elevated. There already are some cool designs with the word elevated but I wanted to make something simple and stands out. Using the principles of logo design, I drafted a few different types and then went to work designing it. I have not used illustrator like this before, but it was great to have so much control over typography and shapes. After completing the logo, I saved it in a few different forms and then applied it to a couple of primitives. Finally, I created some business cards incorporating the design and color style.

I attempted to start this assignment a few times. I was not sure what I wanted to use for the reference video to work from. I had a few clips before of my juggling which I tried using, but it did not look so good. I thought to myself, how about I wait until I make it home and then I can film a high quality video of myself juggling in my studio. Since I have a white backdrop and soft and even lighting, I knew it would work well. I took a few takes to get it how I wanted. Once in Photoshop, I applied the stamp filter to each of the 160 frames. This made it black and white and higher contrast. I then when in and changed the color of the juggling balls. I had fun with this step. I was quite a bit of work, but it is how I had imagined it.

Learning how to use Dreamweaver

This past week, I have been learning how to use the program Dreamweaver and coding in HTML 5. I did not know the complexity of the shapes that could be created. I love understanding the logic behind these artistic creations. Since I am a logical thinker and like to play around with things until they make sense, this is a lot of fun. Attached are a screenshot and video of my own design. It is an interactive shape with gradients of red yellow green and blue that overlap and make it look three dimensional.

Finished Canvas Design

After many hours of work, I have completed my F35 jet canvas design. I am very happy with how it turned out. I decided to take it a step further and animate the tail rudders. These are what make the plane turn left or right in flight. They get tested during the preflight check, so that is what I animated here.
